The Alcoholics Anonymous (“AA”) Program has been a staple of the recovery community for over 85 years. Its 12-step program, which focuses on the disease concept of alcoholism (and in particular, an addict’s powerlessness over alcohol), has helped millions of people throughout the world achieve and maintain sobriety. Because of that, it is probably the most well-known alcohol treatment program in the United States. But is it a requirement for a successful license restoration process in Michigan?
